Participation and victory in the 2025 Norwegian Championship for Healthy Food in Canteens

Three of Samskipnaden’s canteens – Teorifag, MH and Narvik – participated in the 2025 Norwegian Championship for Healthy Food in Canteens. The competition is organized each year by the health authorities and the food industry, with the goal of making it easier to choose healthy food in everyday life.


The competition lasted six weeks, from 1 October to 12 November. During this period, the three canteens offered an increased number of healthy menu options made with the #MerAv ingredients – fruit, vegetables, whole grains and seafood.

Participating in the competition has provided all three canteens with new ideas and professional development, as well as an extra boost to their efforts to increase the share of fish and vegetables on the menu – fully in line with our sustainability goals.

The joy was great when the MH canteen and the Teorifag canteen secured 1st and 2nd place in the competition, respectively! This is clear proof of the dedicated, creative and high-quality work carried out every day in our canteens.
