The main goal of the fadder weeks is to create an inclusive, fun and safe environment with ties to the university, the student welfare organization and the local population.
Participants and responsible parties are representatives of the fadder program and are expected to behave accordingly. During the program the focus should be on the activities, not on alcohol. The fadder weeks has a zero tolerance towards peer drinking pressure and illegal substances. No one should have to explain their reason for not consuming alcohol. Attending overly intoxicated or under the influence of illegal substances will not be tolerated, neither will behaving in an intimidating, rude or harassing manner.
Fadders and fadder boards should be approachable for all students, and available for advice and guidance. Boards and fadders have a responsibility to inform and share this policy to every participant. In addition to this they are obligated to spread awareness about help lines and counseling services. Violations of this policy can lead to formal warnings, exclusion or loss of fadder privileges.
