Location

Storelva Student Housing is in scenic surroundings in Kvaløysletta, adjacent to Kvaløya upper secondary school. The distance to the university and city centre is around 10 km. The student housing comprises of small two-storey buildings with basements. The residents have access to a communal living room with kitchen and laundry. There is on-site parking with a valid parking card and residents may apply for permission to have pets.

Housing

Each flat comprises of a corridor, living room with kitchenette, bedroom and bathroom. They are unfurnished and without white goods. Four flats have white goods (own and freezer) These apartments are suitable for couples or small families. The laundry is located in Borgensvingen 45, by the common room.

Neighbourhood

Storelva Student Housing is in Kvaløysletta in an area with beautiful and varied nature, offering a broad range of outdoor recreation activities year-round. There is easy access to hiking terrain and an illuminated cross-country ski trail. A supermarket offering postal services is a few minutes’ walk away. It’s only a short bus ride to Tromsø’s largest shopping centre with a wide range of shops and places to eat.

Walk or cycle to campus

It will take you about 40 minutes to bike to campus.

Parking

Tromso kommune has a fee of 100 NOK per month for parking. To make an agreement about parking please read more at samskipnaden.no/Frequently Asked Questions/Parking. Guest must pay with the parking app Easy Park. Read more on signs at the parking areas.

Public transportation

There are good bus connections to the city centre. Route 42 stops down on the main road and takes approx. 30 minutes to the city centre. To get to the university, swap to route 34 at Giæverbukta. In the morning/afternoon, route 43 will take you direct to/from the university in approx. 20 minutes.
