Here you have all the amenities you could want in the immediate vicinity. Nyland is a stone`s throw away from Alta centrum with a rich selection of various shops, post office, bank, cafes, restaurants, etc. There is also a waterpark, several fitness center, cinema, library, bowling alley, the Studenthous City, concert halls and art gallery to name a few.
It is also close to fine out door recreation areas with hiking trails and ski slopes. Byløypa through central Alta offers around 21 km of prepared and illuminated cross-country ski trails in winter.

The single rooms are 12 square meters and is simply furnished with a bed (90cm), desk, chair bookshelf, coffee table and armchair. Residents must bring their own utensils, blankets, pillows and curtains (recommended 3 lengths / 160 cm long). The dormitories are of varying standard.
