Studentutvalget UMAK

The Student Committee at UMAK functions as the unit's/faculty's own student association, working to promote student welfare both socially and academically.

Students at the unit/faculty are encouraged to apply for funding for their own social or academic initiatives—both within their own class cohort and across study programs, cohorts, or departments.

The Student Committee also manages a dedicated travel grant scheme, where all students can apply for financial support to attend courses, lessons, workshops, etc., outside of Tromsø. This scheme can cover part of the travel expenses and up to the full participation fee.
