Welcome to Knitting Café for Beginners and Experts Alike! Our knitting cafés take place one Wednesday a month, with guidance provided by Kvaløysletta Husflidslag for those who need it. UiT-students have free entrance.

Welcome to the Knitting Café as part of "Wednesday at the Museum"! The knitting café takes place once a month until summer.

If you’re new to knitting, we’re happy to help you get started. Kvaløysletta Husflidslag will join us to provide guidance and inspiration. Missing supplies? No worries! Email siri.a.holmoy@uit.no a few days in advance, and we’ll arrange extra yarn and needles for you.

We’ll be ready to welcome you from 4:30 pm, but feel free to drop by earlier or later—it’s entirely up to you.

This event is part of the "Wednesday at the Museum" series, featuring extended evening hours and monthly events.

PLACE The Arctic University Museum of Norway, Lars Thøringsveg 10
ENTRANCE Adults NOK 120,- / senior citizens and students NOK 100,-. UiT-students, under 18 years and annual pass at the museum have free entrance.


How to get to the Arctic University Museum of Norway?

The museum is located at Lars Thøringsveg 10 on Sør-Tromsøya.

Bus:

Bus routes 33 and 34 go to Telegrafbukta. From there, it’s about a 5-minute walk to the museum.

Bus route 40 goes from the city center to the “Tromsø Museum” bus stop, right next to the museum.

Walking/biking/skiing:

It’s about 2.5 km from Tromsø city center to the museum.

From Breivika campus, it’s about 6 km. We recommend walking, biking or skiing through the light trail.
