Summer usually means freedom, sunshine, and fun. For many, it’s a huge relief when exams are over and there’s more time for friends, family, and relaxing plans. Enjoy it – you’ve earned it! 🌞
But let’s be honest: summer isn’t easy for everyone. Not all problems disappear just because the sun is shining. Some may feel down, lonely, or overwhelmed – especially when routines disappear or family time gets tricky.
If you’re having a tough time, talking to someone can help. Start with someone you trust – a friend, family member, or someone in your circle. Still, we know it’s not always easy to open up. It can feel scary, awkward, or like you’re being a burden.
But talking can bring relief, new perspectives, and closer connections. You’re not alone – and you don’t have to carry things by yourself.
Here are places where you can get support:
- Studentrådgivinga offers free mental health support for all students. You can talk to them about anything. Note: Closed July 21–27.
- Your municipality offers mental health services you can access directly or through your GP. Your GP can also refer you to specialist care.
- Helsenorge.no lists helplines, chats, and messaging services if you need to talk to someone.
- Digital self-help tools: Helsenorge also has a free collection of safe, approved tools to help you manage difficult thoughts and feelings.
- You can also ask anonymous questions via Studenter spør.
It’s okay to ask for help.
Take care of yourself – and have a good summer! 💛
