The tenant is responsible for cleanliness and order in their own residence. The tenant is also obliged to keep any common areas such as bathrooms and hallways clean along with other users. In cases where there are several individuals sharing a bathroom, a rotating schedule is followed for when each person is responsible for cleaning.

When moving out, there's a lot to remember to ensure that the apartment is sparkling clean for the next student moving in. We have gathered information about the move-out cleaning itself and what we can offer to help you along the way.
When you move into a new apartment with us, you will receive a checklist. This is used to give you, as a tenant, the opportunity to report any faults and deficiencies upon moving in. When you move out, you will receive the same checklist to ensure that everything is in the same condition as when you moved in for the next tenant. We have included the list below, but you will also receive it on "My Page."
Move-out inspection together with us
For tenants in Tromsø, Alta, Narvik and Harstad, we offer the opportunity to book a move-out check towards the end of the contract.
You choose a date and time that suits you, and then we will go through the housing together with you. If the cleaning is approved, you can hand in the key right away!
Booking can be done on "MyPage" after the termination of the contract has been submitted, or by clicking the button below.
Remember to choose a date BEFORE the expiration of your contract, and not after.
If you do not book a move-out check, we will check the housing as usual after the key is returned.
Need supplies?
We provide what we call the "cleaning package." Here, you will receive the tools you need to clean all surfaces in your home. It includes a bucket, sponges, mops, mop handles, cloths, and notably, "magic" cleaning agents that you cannot purchase in regular stores.
You can borrow the cleaning package for free, but all items must be returned.

Book a cleaning
Moving out is a stressful process, especially during an already challenging period. Many people also lack the ability to get assistance, making it easy to feel overwhelmed and find it difficult to meet the cleanliness standards expected of you.
If you live in Tromsø, you can book a move-out cleaning service with us. All you need to do is pack your belongings, tidy up, dispose of garbage, empty any storage spaces, and clear drains. Beyond this, we will take care of all other cleaning tasks.
To book move-out cleaning, submit a request in the inbox on "My Page." Use the category "cleaning." Move-out cleaning must be booked as soon as possible once you know the move-out date and no later than 7 days before moving out so that we can plan accordingly.
Prices for move-out cleaning through Samskipnaden:
- Single room without bathroom: 1,180 NOK
- Single room with bathroom: 1,395 NOK
- 1-bedroom apartment (any size): 2,450 NOK
- 2-bedroom apartment (up to 30 sqm): 2,590 NOK
- 2-bedroom apartment (31-40 sqm): 3,260 NOK
- 2-bedroom apartment (41-52 sqm): 3,600 NOK
- 3-bedroom apartment (any size): 3,995 NOK
