Shut Up and Write involves working intensively on your own writing in a community setting. The concept provides a framework for productive writing/work sessions that also allows for breaks to be taken without guilt. Come and try it out!
What? Three writing sessions of 45 minutes each with others who are also writing. After a quick round where everyone shares what they are working on, we sit individually and work. We take breaks (15 minutes) with light refreshments provided. At the end, we'll have a round to discuss challenges and next steps with our writing.
Why? It's inspiring to write when others are writing, and you can take breaks without feeling guilty.
Who can participate? Anyone who is working on a writing project and needs some structured writing time. You can also read and reflect in connection to your writing work.
Where? 3rd floor at the KS Library, room UB 344
Organizer: The UiT Writing Center (uit.no/ub/skrivesenteret)
