Location

Skistua Student Housing is located 400 m from UiT Campus Narvik and Kraft Narvik. Skistua Student Housing is located in Fiolstien and Bregnetunet, adjacent to the mountains and only a stone’s throw from the ski resort. This area is wonderful for outdoor recreation year-round. The student housing is a 10-minute walk from the closest supermarket and a 15-minute walk from the town centre

Housing

The student housing comprises 72 recently refurbished single rooms, each of which is 14 m². Two students share a bathroom and four students share each communal kitchen. The single rooms are furnished with coffee table, sofa, lounge chair, dining table, chairs, bed (90 cm), desk and office chair, bookshelf, wardrobe and curtains. The kitchen is equipped with white goods, but students need to bring kitchen utensils and bed linen. There is access to laundry, on-site parking and communal storage rooms. It is also possible to rent a private storage. There is internet Connection in the housings. Skistua Student Housing is popular among students and won the Municipality of Narvik’s architecture award the year it was built.

Neighbourhood

Skistua Student Housing provides an ideal base for enjoying the great outdoors. In summer as well as winter, you can catch the cable car up to the restaurant and continue further up if you wish. You can enjoy panoramic views of sea, mountains, fjord and Narvik city.

Walk or cycle to campus

It takes about 5 minutes to walk to the University.

Public transportation

Because of the location of our student houses it is not often necessary to take the bus. It takes about 15 minutes to walk to the bus terminal, which is located beside the Amfi center in the middle of the town. Among the busses at the bus terminal you can choose between local buses, regional buses and the airport bus.
